1.0.0-alpha11: Lower audio latency on Android

:warning: Alpha warning

  • Assume that you’ll have to redo all your settings when upgrading from this version
    • e.g.: Going from 1.0.0-alpha01 to [1.0.0-alpha02 or 1.0.0-beta01 or 1.0.0] will result in config loss
  • There could be connection issues when connecting with different versions
  • Expect some bugs

Changelog

1.0.0-alpha11 (2026-08-09)

  • (Early access fix) Fixed the app crashing when clicking cancel on the new connection screen

iOS

  • Fixed the app crashing on iOS < 26

1.0.0-alpha10 (2026-08-08)

  • (Early access fix) Fixed not being able to confirm a connection from a small phone
  • (Early access fix) Reduced CPU consumption while idle

Android

  • Use AAudio as the default audio system instead of OpenSL
  • (Early access fix) Fixed a bug where the OpenSL implementation in previous alphas had a higher latency than in the 0.x.x version. (Audio effects – which increase latency – were always enabled regardless of your selection in settings.)
  • To reduce the number of steps to start media capture, the permission will only show the “Share entire screen” option instead of the “Share one app” first. This can be changed in the app’s settings. (Reported here)
  • (Early access fix) The app will prompt you to accept the notifications permission (Reported here)
  • (Early access fix) Fixed Audio media capture options appearing on Android < 10.

macOS

  • (Early access fix) Changing an audio device’s sample rate lead to audio no longer being captured (Reported here)

Windows

  • Moved audio capture to in-process instead of out-of-process
  • Signed all installed dlls (Should help with anti-cheat software complaining about AudioRelay for example)
  • (Early access fix) Fixed the app continuing to run for a few minutes after you closed it down

iOS

  • Fixed a bug where you had to restart the app in order to accept new connections

Hello this isnt a real bug report but the connection between iphone and debian 13 is disconnecting after turning my screen of on my iphone. Both devices use the same alpha version. After turning screen on the connection is there in few ms. Thanks

Hi, I couldn’t find a way to trigger the issue on my end, even when enabling Low power mode.

Getting more info will probably help to narrow it down:

What iPhone model and iOS version do you have?
Does it happen immediately after you turn off the screen?
Does it also disconnect when switching to another app?
If you used previous versions, did it work correctly then?

Would you mind sending the logs here or by private message? It’s in Settings → Help → Logs.
