Stereo audio only in left channel on client (except VoIP quality) – Android-to-Android

Latest app versions on both devices. New trial user.

Setup:

  • Server: Inmo Air 3 (Android 14)
  • Client: Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge (One UI 8, Android 16)
  • Connection: Same Wi-Fi or Inmo on S25 hotspot
  • Output: Bluetooth headphones or built-in speaker on client

Issue:
Audio only plays in left channel when quality is set above VoIP (10 kb/s). Right channel silent. VoIP mode works (both channels, as it’s mono).

Reproduce:

  1. Start server on Inmo
  2. Connect client (S25)
  3. Set quality to non VoIP option.
  4. Play any audio on server

Troubleshooting tried (no change):

  • Client player settings: Switched audio output (OpenSL ES, AudioTrack, etc.)
  • Toggled low latency
  • Adjusted buffer sizes
  • Tested with phone speaker instead of headphones

No errors shown. Happens with any app/audio source on server.

Expected: Full stereo at all qualities.
