I have a Xiaomi Redmi 10 2022 With Android 13 that connects fine through USB tethering and wifi to my audio server, a Lubuntu 24.04 laptop. No problems here.
I also have a Samsung A14, android 14 phone which cannot seem to connect through USB tethering. I have USB tethering turned on and can see the server both through wifi and usb on the Samsung but tapping the usb ip or connecting manually just gives me a ‘connecting…’ message for 10 seconds, then goes back to the player screen with the message ‘an error occurred while playing, please retry’. Connecting through wifi does work.
What am I doing wrong?
